Home of Vintage Street and Workwear
Raim Otaku was born from a deep appreciation for vintage clothing and a passion for exploration. Every piece in our collection tells a story of craftsmanship, culture, and the journeys it has witnessed.
We curate authentic vintage pieces from markets across the world, each selected for its unique character, quality, and connection to streetwear heritage. From graphic tees to sweaters and jackets, every item carries the spirit of its original owner and the culture that shaped it.
Our name "Raim Otaku Duka" reflects our commitment to authenticity (Raim, meaning "soul" or "spirit" in Japanese), the dedicated community of enthusiasts (Otaku) who appreciate vintage fashion and the pride of being Kenyan (Duka, meaning "shop" in Swahili).
Every piece is verified for authenticity and sourced directly from vintage markets. We maintain the integrity of each garment's history and craftsmanship.
By giving vintage clothing a new life, we reduce waste and honor the planet. Our packaging is 100% recyclable, and we partner with carbon-neutral shipping services.
Each item is carefully inspected, cleaned, and photographed. We only offer pieces that meet our high standards for condition, authenticity, and style.
Raim Otaku Duka is a spin-off from our parent brand Raim Collection which was established in 2018 and evolved into a mission to share authentic vintage clothing with the world. We began by sourcing unique pieces for friends and fellow enthusiasts, building a reputation for quality and authenticity.
Then in 2022, we created the brand Maktaba Studios that curates books, comics, manga, CDs, DVDs, Cassette tapes, Vinyl records, and more.
This then led to the creation of Maktaba Collectibles that curates figurines, action figures, curios, furniture, frames, posters and other collectibles.Today, Raim Otaku connects collectors, fashion enthusiasts, and adventure seekers with carefully curated vintage pieces that blend streetwear heritage with modern style. Each season, we discover new treasures from around the world, always seeking pieces with character, quality, and story.
We're not just selling clothing—we're preserving cultural artifacts, supporting sustainable fashion, and building a community of people who appreciate the beauty of vintage design.
We source directly from vintage markets, thrift stores, and collectors. No middlemen, no mass-market suppliers—just authentic pieces with real stories.
We're building a community of vintage enthusiasts who share knowledge, style inspiration, and a love for authentic fashion. Your purchase supports this community.
Every piece is professionally cleaned, inspected, and photographed. We provide detailed care guides to help you preserve your vintage treasures for years to come.
Our collection is constantly rotating, with new discoveries added regularly. Each piece is unique, meaning once it's gone, it's gone. This is true vintage, not reproduction.
Fashion is one of the world's most polluting industries. At Raim Otaku, we're committed to being part of the solution. By extending the life of vintage clothing, we're reducing waste, conserving resources, and honoring the craftsmanship of the past.
We use 100% recyclable and compostable packaging, partner with carbon-neutral shipping services, and plant trees for every order. But more importantly, we're helping to shift the fashion industry toward a more sustainable model—one where quality, durability, and heritage matter more than trends and disposability.
When you shop with Raim Otaku, you're not just buying clothing—you're making a conscious choice to support sustainable fashion and preserve cultural heritage.
On October 10th, 2025, we opened our doors to the public at Victoria Square Plaza Riara Road. We had a great time with our friends and family, and we're grateful for the support we received from the community and from Chekafe as well.

On December 20th, 2025, we hosted a special event in collaboration with soundmindz_254 to celebrate the life of Mac Miller. We had a great time with our friends and family, and enjoyed the celebrations of the festive season before we closed for the holidays. There were performances by talented local artists and we had a really good time.
